Meanwhile, back in the dorm….
19 August 2001I’m here. The dorm’s odd compared to last year’s; I guess I was spoiled by the floor plan. It’s growing on me, though. Not much else to say yet, but one last thing…
To coin a phrase from the brilliant philosopher, Finch from American Pie:
“God bless the ethernet.”

15 August 2001Well, my summer slumber is nearly over. Truly, it’s as if I’ve been hibernating… I’ve done very little at all. Had some fun with Danté, Jeanette, and our new friend David, but not too much of that either.
So, what’s new?
Well, I’m staying in a different dorm this year, which is itself a NEW dorm… This could be good or bad, I’m not sure… I guess as long as they have the bugs worked out before we move in, it’ll be all right.
As I said, David is a NEW friend. He’s a programmer as well, so we’re working on some games and stuff. (I’m doing the graphics, since he kinda beats the pants off me as of now in the programming department.) Shout out to David! By the way, sooner or later Danté is planning to move in with him, so we’ll all be in Tempe for the school year.
Then there’s a NEW… ok, I’ll stop the lame “NEW” stuff… there’s another Red Mountain alumnus going to ASU. Andy, my old comrade from the web team, is getting a job at ASU and is enrolling as well.
In other news, it’s been a while since I’ve heard from Jeanette, who is in Washington for a few days. We have hung out maybe twice in the past two months. She doesn’t seem too bothered by the fact, and it’s pretty much impossible for me to do drop in on her without a car, so… I guess that’s that. It should be easier when school starts again, unless I was simply a “convenient” friend to yet another person, in which case I shouldn’t worry anyhow.
Danté… The word for this journal entry is J-O-B… ‘Nuff said.
