25 November 2003god… drivin’ home, got stuck behind a van with such horrible exhaust, it’s literally made me sick. Econoline 350. Drove home in a hurry because I was afraid I was gonna throw up or something, and drove past one of those stupid-ass cop vans. If I get a ticket from that crap I’m gonna be pissed.

1 November 2003Was trying ICQ tonight, as I do every year or so, to see if I find it any less abhorrent and incaccessible than previous. Nope. I don’t get how people call it the best chat/IM client…

Hours later…
Well, just as I was typing my complaints about the really shoddy chat room system ICQ uses (which it does, I stand by that), someone messaged me on ICQ. My god, that was the best conversation I’ve had in ages! She’s a French Canadian by birth who spent a fair amount of time in California, speaks Spanish and listens to rap, but has a secret interest in… Shhh… I can’t tell. :-) She sounds like she has quite an eclectic background, with just enough adversity in her past to make her… well, qualified to be one of my friends. :-P And she loves camping!
I won’t ramble too much nor jump to conclusions, but I must say, thank you Genelle for recommending ICQ. I still think it’s a stupid program, but I gave it enough chance to meet someone I get along with really well. Maybe I’ll keep it on more often.
